So I admit. I am not a perfect mom. Sometimes I give the kids cereal for dinner.. and not a healthy bowl of raisin bran. I give them Fruit Loops. The other evening after a long afternoon at the pool, Allie was exhausted. I caught her on video actually eating her cereal while sleeping. Notice her eyes are closed throughout the whole video. She is also very particular about eating with a spoon and as you see in the video she is using her hands. Enjoy!

Beach Bucket Ice Cream Sundae
On our vacation, we had a coupon for a dollar off of this huge sundae that is served in a beach bucket. We were hesitant to buy it, thinking we wouldn't be able to make a dent in it. But, the kids were so excited about it that we decided to shell out $10.99 for it. We finished the whole thing! The kids were also thrilled that we "got to keep" the bucket and shovel.
Ocean City, Maryland
Last Wednesday, we took off for Ocean City, Maryland. This is the second year we have taken this trip. We stayed in the Park Place Hotel, a beachy place that overlooks the ocean. All 3 kids loved playing on the beach and running from the waves. Andrew and Abbey loved finding seashells. Andrew kept a bucket full of shells but Abbey threw hers back in the ocean. We also rented a surrey, a funny looking bike for the whole family.

Happy Birthday James!
We celebrated Daddy's 33rd birthday yesterday. In the morning James and Andrew were off to the barber for a haircut. While the boys were out, the girls and I went to Party City to pick up a few things and then to ColdStone for an ice cream cake. The girls just love Party City with all of the characters and birthday stuff. They picked "Cars" themed party plates and napkins for Daddy (because he is a boy, of course!) We also bought a balloon bouquet and I let each girl pick a solid color balloon to accent the big Happy Birthday balloon. Abbey picked pink and Allie picked purple. (Sorry James!) As we were loading back into the car, a car pulled up next to us with two clowns in it. Allie and Abbey were sure they knew all about Daddys birthday and would be coming over to our house next for his "party". It was too cute. In the afternoon, we headed to the pool and after we went to Red Robin for an early dinner. The kids kept asking if it was time to go home for the "party" yet. When we returned home, we had our party complete with tow-mater party hats and our lovely ice cream cake. No clowns though. Oh well, all in all, a great day..

An Unwanted Visitor
The other day as I was carrying a load of laundry I noticed something moving on the stairs in the corner of my eye. I dropped the laundry basket when I found this creature scurrying along the stairs. He was so big I didn't think a shoe would work so I grabbed a can of Raid and went to battle(after taking his picture). When I sprayed him, he charged at me. I had to spray for at least 3o seconds before I won. The kids watched the whole thing in horror. Hopefully they aren't scarred for life.
