There is something just so cute about a two year old toddling around in a swimsuit. We signed Allie up for a parent/child water readiness class at our local pool. The first week, I took her and she clung to me for dear life for most of the class. It was my first time in a swimming suit this season so thank goodness we didn't have the camera! Last weekend, James had his turn. Allie must have felt more comfortable with Daddy because she actually loosened her death grip and smiled a few times.

Recycled Tire Park
Andrew, Abbey, and Allie all had ear infections last week. The entire butter section of our refrigerator was filled with amoxicillan bottles. They are all feeling better now. The weather finally improved and has hit the 60 degree mark every day(at least). The kids enjoyed playing outside and wearing shorts and t-shirts for the first time this year.

The Official First Post
I have been meaning to start a blog for some time. Here it is. It's official! If nothing else, it will be fun for the kids to look at some day. So here goes....
We have had a busy month. Our friends from California, the Reils, visited us the first week of April. The kids had a great time playing with Sydney(6), Max(5), and Izzie(2). It was a nice chance for us to enjoy some of the great places in DC that we tend to take for granted! We visited the zoo, the Capitol, and the Smithsonian.
The kids got a kick out of the "goat playground" at the zoo. Pretty funny..
We were fortunate that they visited during the Cherry Blossom Festival. The trees were gorgeous!
We had a babysitter watch all 6 kids on the Friday of their visit for a fun adults night out. We went out to Haandi restaurant in Bethesda and capped off the evening with ColdStone. Four out of six of the kids were asleep upon our return home and our babysitter survived the evening!
