Jamaica Part IV Andrew makes a splash

Andrew is my water baby for sure. He had a great time swimming and riding the water slides at Beaches.

Jamaica Part III Abbey meet Abby

Abbey was thrilled(and a little overwhelmed too) to meet her namesake Abby Cadaby.

About 30 feet into the surf, these Jamaican guys sell seashells, necklaces, and other knick knacks from little boats. Abbey asked and asked to buy a seashell so eventually I gave in and we waded out to buy one. She ended up picking a starfish which she adores. She named it "Starfish the Seashell" Anyways, she loves her beachy (and stinky) souvenir.

Jamaica Part II Allie's Birthday!

What a lucky little lady. I wish I had my 3rd Birthday in Jamaica! Allie celebrated her third birthday while at Beaches. We attended the Sesame Street Character Breakfast which happened to be the morning of her birthday. We told Allie this was her "party". She was thrilled. They had balloons at every table and even handed out favors as we all exited the restaurant. Zoe, Abby Cadaby, Elmo, Ernie, Bert, Cookie Monster and Grover all made appearances and visited our table. Afterwards, we were supposed to have cake delivered to our room. There was a mix up at the pastry shop and the cake wasn't made. Allie opened her presents and then we headed to the pool. The cake didn't arrive until 7 pm so we had it after returning from dinner. Allie had a wonderful day!

Jamaica Part I

We are back in the states after our adventure to Beaches Boscobel in Jamaica. I think everyone had a wonderful time. It wasn't perfect.. there were tantrums and melt downs but all in all it was a great time. The resort was absolutely gorgeous. Everything was designed to accommodate young kids from the room to the restaurants to the entertainment. Our room had a view of the beautiful Caribbean and banana and coconut trees. The kids couldn't believe that actual bananas were growing on the trees! The theme of Beaches is Sesame Street so the characters were to be found everywhere. More to come in the next post.

Crooked Run Farm

We spent the morning at Crooked Run Farm in Purcelville, Va with our new neighbors. The kids had fun picking peaches but really loved hunting for the perfect blackberry. I think this was the first time any of them had tried a blackberry and they have a new favorite fruit. Allie ate more than she brought home and looked like she had been in a fight on the way out of the orchard.

Yes.. We are still alive and are now in Ashburn, VA

Yes folks.. We have moved once again. This time, to Virginia. This means that Andrew and Abbey have lived in four states and six homes in four years. They have lived in Pittsburg CA, Mill Valley CA, Milton MA, Bethesda MD, Gaithersburg MD, and now Ashburn, Va. We are somewhat settled but still have boxes to deal with. I almost feel like throwing out anything we haven't opened yet. We obviously haven't needed anything in them desperately, right? Allie and Abbey are in a ballet, tap, and gymnastics class together. It is fun to have the sisters taking a class together. The kids are doing well and will be starting preschool next month. Here are a few random pictures from the past month.
